Top 5 (with a favorite track from each)

1. Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Band- New Threats From the Soul New Threats From the Soul
2. Fust- Big Ugly Goat House Blues
3. Geese- Getting Killed Cobra
4. Car Seat Headrest- The Scholars The Catastrophe
5. Bill Fox- Resonance Terminal Way

Ryan Davis is probably my favorite album of past three years. A proggy alt country album with great lyrics. Highly recommended for any alt country or David Berman fans.

Some honorable mentions:

Wednesday- Bleeds
Frog- 1000 Variations of the Same Song
Lifeguard- Ripped and Torn
Panda Bear- Sinister Grift
Greg Freeman- Burnover
Matt Berninger- Get Sunk
Florry- Sounds Like…

Don’t understand how Bones of J.R. Jones isn’t bigger than he is. Consistently puts out incredible albums

Thanks. I just read a review on this then checked out the track you posted. Man, the Guided By Voices similarities. I will check out the whole album.
