Easter of 1987, I loaded the family into the car, put a tape of Handel's Messiah into player, turned it up loud, and drove around the mosques in jubail Saudi Arabia . we were celebrating getting our exit visa

actually there are 4 prayer calls a day. hour before sunup, noon day, hour before sundown and about an two hours after sundown.
Nugent doing it at 2 am is timed to wake them up and disrupt sleep

i cant believe it’s been 48 years since i saw him at a warehouse on tchoupitoulas street
derek st holms was an absolute badass
my ears were ringing the next day at school

I saw him in concert in Jax several years ago. He shredded the guitar for 2.5 hours even at his age.
