LSU will pay Lane Kiffin if Ole Miss wins in the playoffs. Anyone ready this?

His contract at Ole Miss stated that he would receive $1 million for winning the CFP, and under his new LSU contract, the tigers will pay him that amount if Ole Miss wins.

In an unprecedented move, Kiffin’s LSU contract also states that it will pay him any Playoff bonus he would have received at Ole Miss this season, including $150,000 for an appearance up to $1 million for winning the national title. That means if new Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding goes on a Playoff run, Kiffin will be paid by LSU for that success.

yeah I agree, its not like im paying it and OM is getting bounced first round probably. I just thought it was interesting that they offered to honor that part of his old contract.

Its common if you have a 35k annual bonus coming, and another company tries to hire you, that they cover the annual bonus your leaving to come on board for, they offer all or a portion of that annual bonus in a sign on bonus.
