Technically “taxpayers” are. Depends on what state they pay taxes, but I think it’s safe to assume that those paying the buyout do pay taxes. The buyout just isn’t spread out across Louisiana’s tax base despite the disingenuous grand standing of our Bobby Boucher Governor

1. Not one penny of state tax revenue goes to LSU sports and has not since WWII.
2. MILLIONS of state tax monies got to sports programs at places like ULL, LA Tech, d SLU. Governor "Lafayette" Landry needs to investigate why ULL overspent by $25 million these last 2 years.
