He's 18 years old and it's his 3rd arrest in 3 months.

Due to the new Iryna's Law, he's being held in jail

I can't tell from the article. Is this the guy who shot up a children's birthday party in Charlotte?

Here's a little more on the arrest

quote:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte teen is being held on a $5.3 million bond after authorities linked him to a shooting that left a home riddled with bullet holes.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said Dai-Quan Mills, 18, was arrested on November 13 after detectives secured warrants in connection with a house shooting on Redwood Avenue.

Mills has been charged with 15 counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, felony conspiracy, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and two counts of damage to property.

CMPD said Mills’ status as a repeat offender contributed to the decision to set his bond at $5 million. While in custody, Mills was served an additional warrant on November 17 for another count of shooting into an occupied dwelling and an additional felony conspiracy charge, bringing the total bond to $5.3 million, according to police.

These charges add to what CMPD describes as a pattern of recent arrests: Mills was previously arrested on October 22 for possession of a stolen firearm and again on November 8 for carrying a concealed gun and resist, delay, obstruct.

Arrested...

Oct 22
Nov 8
Nov 13
Nov 17*

The first two (firearms) arrests mentioned should have still had him cooling his heels in a cell.

Gun violence my arse...

Possession of a stolen firearm in commission should be no bail and after conviction 10yrs no parole.
Soft on crime policy has dragged to where we are currently.

Some might call it inhumane, but some people don't have any place in a civilized society. This is one of them.

If there’s a hyphen in your name based on nothing more than a new syllable, you should spend 5 years in jail.

It’s always funny that people who cry for gun control also campaign against increased sentences on gun crimes.

That's because of "disparate outcome" theology that is rampant on the left. I hate it with the power of a thousand suns.

The disparate outcome bullshite is because the left believes certain folks shouldn’t be held accountable for their own actions.
