Just curious if Lane has given Baker a Timeline to accept or reject the DC offer.

It is apparent that this situation may have an effect on some of the defensive recruits especially DLine. I'm sure lane doesn't hold it against him that he is pursuing a HC position but at some point he needs to get on board or jump ship. The fact that he went with Kiffen to the Carr meeting is encouraging but we need to get confirmation ASAP.

We don’t have much leverage so no, I doubt we force a timeline.
Just go out and talk to coordinators to gauge interest while we work baker too

Baker is probably staying imo. Sounds like the Tulane AD wants a coach with head coaching experience(probably Napier). I’m sure Baker will get a raise.

Baker doesn't have a decision to make until Tulane makes a decision to offer him. At this point he's the DC until he's not. It's not like he's sitting around mulling LSU vs Tulane. Is it effecting things? Yes. But until they fix the system, you just have to live with it.

He interviewed. We don't know if he was offered.

Im reaching a bit but I think Tulane at this point is enjoying holding LSU hostage. No leaks, no idea what they are doing, and Baker/LSU forced to wait patiently. Its hurting us for sure

Signing day thru Friday 12/5, there's time get more players to sign/flip and for Baker to decide. He should know next couple days if Tulane hires him. Hopefully, Kiffin will decide shortly who on LSU staff he will keep. With his large contract $13 million/year, he should be able to hire the very best staff in the country. There's normal attrition of players/recruits when new HC comes in. Transfer portal will be important, the money will be there. AD already said he will give Kiffin full power and authority to make decisions.

My assumption is that there is some agreement with Baker to not make a move until after signing day.
Things are too quiet. I think Tulane is waiting on someone. Baker seems like the person most likely to be waiting on.

What I read sounds like Tulane wants their guy named by the end of the week. Hopefully, everything will be known then
