The Dim's said the military does not have to obey unlawful orders...Trump predictably flipped out.
Now news of Hegseth ordering the killing of drug traffickers who were clinging to debris after a strike appears to be pretty clearly illegal.

That is not what I heard. Hegseth said to kill the traffickers/boat people. And when they didn't do it, military followed up.
Trump has not really told us what he is doing in regards to the drug war. So it's understandable without the consent of the governed, they are going to get themselves in trouble. Is this boat movement the point source for combatting the drug lords? Or is it a dog and pony to show the drug lords how tough we are?

Hegseth didn't order the second strike so no. As someone else stated, they are now moving the goal posts again because of the NY Times article.
