They apparently forgot to include the post-production edits in some scenes.

That is hilarious. This basically tells us that it is a TRUE 4k remaster and that all of the original film was scanned frame-by-frame. The problem with doing it this way, is that you need to reapply all your post/vfx work. This clearly got missed

But added with the FX problems, this seems like a very "rushed to air" process. I hadn't heard any promotion about Mad Men coming to HBO Max. I'm wondering if they were trying to beef up their catalogue during streaming renewal season.
