I’m still not realizing what we just pulled off. We have the best offensive tactician in CFB paired with Louisiana talent and an abundance of NIL. The media hate is understandable

It really was a coup.

Most if not all the credit goes to Verge. Verge was the key player that maintained the proper relationships over the decades and effectively leveraged them at the right time in an appropriate manner.

How many screens? How many short side options? How many timeouts after a timeout?

At USC he was still running the norm chow offense.

At bama he was tasked to blend his offense with some spread and tempo.

At FAU he brought in Kendal Briles and learned the Briles version of air raid.

At Ole Miss he hit the ground running with the Lane Kiffin offense and molded it into what it is today.

At LSU he will set the new standard of offensive football.

That was the covid year. No cupcakes to feast on that year either.

Hell yes!

Those stats improved at every stop along the way, just like his overall win percentage. I've been pumping that from the day Kelly was fired so I'm incredibly happy that we got him.

Not only is that impressive, he’s also improved on his first year numbers at every stop by an average of 8.7%.

By my math, LSU will average over 600 yards per game next season

Someone needs to put a bug in the Governor’s ear that we need legislation that heavily incentivizes players to stay in state after HS. He’s crazy enough to do it

Im just curious, dont lsu fans feel worried about doing the same thing...again.

Brian kelly was a total arse hat
Lane kiffin is a total asshat

Both left schools poorly

Both had winning records but underlying concerns at multiple programs that went ignored during the hiring process.

Both had been shopping for a better job for years

Both brought "their guys"

I mean... In all honesty isnt there some concern that once again lsu is bringing in a high priced outsider and just assuming he will do well?

No. We know our program & Kiffin fits it like a glove.

There is a reason it wasn’t like this for the Kelly announcement.
