Weis Jr. expected to stay at Ole Miss through the CFP

I won’t say anything is done until he’s in the building, but the expectation is for Charlie Weis to be with Ole Miss for the College Football Playoff. I assume the next day or two will show whether that’s accurate, but that’s my guess to some extent.
I expect overall for things to start coming out on the Ole Miss side tomorrow after a really quiet day today. The Rebels spent the day fighting for staff and trying to fend off LSU — matching and giving raises to relevant coaches and staff members. The timing yesterday was a cluster. And remember they are dealing with staff for CFP and staff for the permanent. Not everyone is both.
LSU had to pay Ole Miss a 7-figure buyout to sign Weis.
He signed with the Tigers, as reported tonight by Wilson Alexander.
Weis is expected to call plays in the CFP for the Rebels. We’ll see if he gets on the plane. Ole Miss has a plan. We’ll see over this month what takes shape. I know you have a ton of questions. I’m answering what I can but some aren’t answerable or known yet.

If they are cool with an lsu employee in their building, totally able to talk to, coach, and persuade players to lsu, go for it

Well if the last few weeks are any indication, I have my doubts it’s a good one

This guy hasn’t been right once during this entire saga. Why would you think he is now?

Look at the source. Anything coming from ole Miss has been innaccurate

interesting... so they were not cool with Lane staying on, but they are with Weis, even though he signed a contract to be OC at LSU next year.... let's see how that works out for everyone involved... should be fun to watch

I thought we heard that he might get the job at USF?
I think Philly reported that earlier
So we may not get him

Literally zero chance of that happening

If this is true, then no way in hell should LSU allow him to coach at OM. If they were willing to waive that buyout, I'd be ok with LSU allowing it though.

Do they though? Has anything so far shown this to be the case?

However, Neal McCready was on Scone earlier and said Weis had signed (proven true) and he would NOT coach the CFP.
So yet again, nobody on that side knows anything besides Neal

That many words and I'm not sure any of them were right

That’s not happening, lol. Weiss is not even listed on the Ole Miss athletic department website as an employee anymore. He’s scrubbed from the website. You are going to blast Lane Kiffin for abandoning Ole Miss and let the coach who went with him from day 1 coach? Makes zero sense. Joe Judge is calling the plays and offensive game planning.
