OP says executive order but a reply by Washington Report says it is actually a law.
Glad to say I voted for this.

Over/under on how long before some leftist judge pulls the plug on it?

There are currently 61 living recipients of the Medal of Honor, the US military's highest decoration. Of the living recipients, 45 received the award for actions in the Vietnam War, 14 in the War in Afghanistan, and two in the War in Iraq. As of 2025, the only recipients still on active duty are Dakota Meyer and Thomas Payne.

While MoH recipients are clearly the most deserving possible recipients, pensions are utterly bankrupting the West.

The liberals will criticize this somehow. Too expensive?

There are only 61 of them... most are very old... it's a very cool gesture with a pretty minimal footprint budget-wise.

It should be tax free too.

Interesting.
So it’s NOT the 45 million people on SNAP?
Posted on 12/1/25 at 6:58 pm to Kjnstkmn
Should be more like 250k.
Glad they got a bump but no amount is to much for a MoH recipient

Agree, I think $250k tax free for the rest of there natural lives or the next direct kin if they are deceased is a more befitting but anything besides an insulting low $15k is a good start.

Here's a little something to chew on and puke out.
Since 2021 nearly $90 billion if US taxpayer money has been spent bailing out failing pensions......including the Midwest Teamsters Pension fund t the tune of $40 billion. Gotta buy them union votes.
From Google AI..........,
quote:
The most significant recent federal bailout was the $86 billion allocated to failing union pension plans through the 2021 American Rescue Plan. This funding provides grants to eligible multiemployer pension plans to help them pay benefits for at least 30 years. Additional funds have been distributed since then to specific plans, such as over $811 million announced in late 2024 for four plans, and a Congressional Budget Office estimate projects the total cost to taxpayers could be higher.

That is some bullshite. A truly limited government would never pick winners and losers the way our government does.

(guess only)
Decedents of MoH recipients get other privileges, e.g. service academies.

I'll have to look that up... surely it would be for wives or dependents only, right? Lemme go see...
