Pros: It solves the entire problem

Cons: It's a ridiculous fantasy that only dullards believe is possible.

I don't care. Not my problem. I believe Israel has the right to defend itself in whatever way it deems necessary.
If the Mooslums dont like it, let em try and do something about it.
That hasn't worked out very well for them in the past. Just sayin

Pro: It seems reasonable, on the surface.
Con: The Palestinians will never stop plotting to destroy their neighbor.

Pros: you have two ethno states living next door to each other

Cons: First, we already tried it once. Those two states were Israel and Jordan. The result was Jordan immediately invaded Israel, but lost so badly, that they permanently lost control of what is now known as The West Bank.

Second, no one involved actually wants this, not the Palestinians, not the Gazans, not the Israelis. The 2 state solution is a scam on the West. The only reason any Palestinians advocate for an independent Palestinian state is to use it as a base from which to launch greater attacks on Israel to drive the Jews into the Sea.

The Israelis know this, and thus publicly endorse a 2 state solution to look like they care about peace while they undermine it via illegal settlements designed to further fragment the West Bank.

Just an FYI the current position of the U.S. State Department is a two-state solution.

One side could probably live with a 2 state arrangement. The other might say they can, but we all know they will not.

How about a Zero State Solution. Wipe out both sides and make it a vacation destination for the rest of the world.

Who would pay to prop up the Palestinian state in perpetuity? It's not like they will suddenly figure out how to be self-sufficient.

They've been offered a state by the British, again in 1947, 1967, 2000, and 2008, and have rejected it every time.

quote:

4th Rejection
In 2000, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak met at Camp David, with Palestinian Liberation Organization Chairman Nasser Arafat, to conclude a new two-state plan. Barak offered Arafat a Palestinian state in all of Gaza, and 94% of the West Bank, with East Jerusalem as its capital. But the Palestinian leader rejected the offer.
In the words of U.S. President Bill Clinton, “Arafat was here 14 days and said no to everything.”
Instead, the Palestinians launched a bloody wave of suicide bombings that killed over 1,000 Israelis and maimed thousands more, on buses, in wedding halls, and in pizza parlors.

5th Rejection
In 2008, Israel tried yet again. Prime Minister Ehud Omar went even further than Ehud Barak had, expanding the peace offer to include additional land to sweeten the deal. Like his predecessor, the new Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, turned the deal down.

One side needs to wipe the other side out for a proper solution.

It would solve nothing. They will never coexist peacefully next to each other.

No way I’d vacation there. I’d be too afraid that me and my family would be cursed in the immediate and generations to come.

We should just start sending weapons to Palestine to expedite the situation.

What do they have now? Is it not a quasi two state situation?
