What happened to Minnesota?

Someone explain to me how a Midwestern state, that's geographically isolated from the direct influence of West and East coast leftist insanity allowed Democratic Socialists to put such a beautiful state on the path to ruination......and let's not forget the importation of 100K muslims into the Twin Cities metro.
Hopefully we have a PT member or two who can explain this Minnesota Nice shite Show. I guess Minnesotans are so nice they gave up their large cities and eventually their state to Muslims and the Democratic Socialists.

Minnesota, northern Iowa, Wisconsin, were hotbeds of leftism over a hundred years ago. Due to the Scandinavian immigration, especially, as it always had those socialistic leanings going way back. My grandmother had kin there, and I heard all about the card-carrying Communists they had even back when she was in her teens, visiting relatives there. .
Of course, only in recent years did these leftist nuts start embracing that notion of multiculturalism and importing foreigners to vanquish free, capitalistic America and remake it into their demented marxist utopia.

In the 19th century, it was a reliable Republican state ... back when the Republicans were the liberal party and the Dems were the conservatives.
Why? Probably the largely-Nordic immigrants.

Voting for Mondale isn’t enough referencing. Better said that Reagan ran the table in votes except for one state, that state being Minnesota which voted for the poster boy of politicians who are clueless
