been in business my whole life, and had employees leave over the years

some left for other jobs. while many times i wasn't happy to lose them, I always acknowledged their right to make decisions that were right for them, and tried to part on good terms.
Kiffin is no different. The way football is setup is screwy, which leads to making problems worse than they should be. No one is bad because they make that decision. I don't blame fans for getting upset, but the adults should behave themselves.

I agree with you.
It’s been bananas to learn how shitty these people are being. And it doesn’t make any sense. These are not personal decisions. And if you take them personally, you need to see someone.
It’s similar to business owners who expect employees to work as hard as them and care as much as them. If I wanted to work that hard and care that much, I’d start my own business

Those mad at this are just melting due to fear and insecurity.

Agreed. The transfer portal needs to be moved to after the national championship game and signing day probably does too. The sequence of events is screwed up and this kind of thing will happen again.
I blame Brian Kelly for all of this.

Three other SEC programs announced new head coaches today and they all were employed yesterday at other programs. Ole Miss is the only program throwing a public tantrum.

I’m just happy we are getting a coach that their fan base is melting he is leaving and not happy to be rid of them like Kelly and Miles…

Exactly.
You either let them work out their notice, or make them walk early, based on what's best for the Company.
The rest is classless drama.

New college football. I don’t like it but I can’t change it.
“These guys have no loyalty to these kids and these programs. Think about the players.”
-player leaves for an extra $50 k per year

It's not ruining a playoff run for any of those other 3.

Tulane is letting their coach continue to coach before he leaves. This drama is entirely on Ole Miss.

Tulane isn't going to the playoffs.
I'm all for LSU but don't act like Ole Miss isn't being put in a tough situation.
You're just too much of a homer to see it.
Or rather too petty to acknowledge it.

More than a 50% chance that Tulane will be in the playoffs

We'll see.
And if they do no one's going to take them seriously to win it all.
With Kiffin Ole Miss has a modicum of a chance.
