Many (most?) companies still can’t bring themselves to use the word ‘Christmas’

‘Holiday 2025’
‘The Holiday’
‘Holiday Season’
etc.
Those catalogs go straight in the garbage.

Care to name the companies?

LL Bean for one, though I will give them credit for using the C - word once deep in the catalog.

If broad based marketing I don’t blame them for advertising to all the present buying consumers
My Jewish friends are buying plenty
The ones that refuse to acknowledge it anywhere are a different story

I wish Republicans could somehow incorporate how shitty DEMs policies are into the “Holiday season”.

When anyone says to me “Happy holidays” I say to them “Merry Christmas”

That's just the corporate mentality in general. All inclusive, all the time, maximize profits.

This is a country of SEVERAL faiths.
Would you want “Happy Eid” shoved down your throats?
Who cares. Think about your neighbors. We could use a little more of that lately…

In my 30 years of working, I don't think I've ever been at a company that didn't do "happy holidays" instead of "merry Christmas". This all started a long time ago.

No, but it happens at my work every year, for pretty much any mainstream cultural holiday besides ones based in Christianity. Can you help theorize why that is?

One tradition I hate about Christmas is stores that play songs like 'Frosty the Snowman' or 'Here comes Santa Claus' over the loudspeakers. I wish they would go to instrumental stuff. There was a good band whose name I can't remember...something like 'The East Hungarian Orchestra'.

My favorite is “Holiday Tree”….

In some ways, it is.
It’s quite bothersome that the integrated Apple calendar on my iPhone automatically adds the religious holidays onto my calendar AND doesn’t give me the option to remove them.
Even atheists and those of non-Christian beliefs probably like to have the major Christian holidays on their calendar due to business, government and school closures. But it would be totally okay with me and would make the most sense if Apple gave everyone the option to pick the holidays schedule they want.
It’s quite odd and the only explanation that I can conceive of is Apple forcing relativism, which is a base assumption of globalism/socialism.
I don’t even know what Eid is, except that it shares the same letters as DEI. Seems appropriate.

Eid is a joyous Islamic festival that marks the end of Ramadan and is comparable to Christmas for Muslims. It is often celebrated with prayers, feasting, giving to charity, and spending time with family and friends.
I don’t know if you are of voting age, but it’s a shame that a grown man “doesn’t even know” what the most festive holiday is in the world’s second largest religion. If more people took time to learn about their neighbors, it would encourage peace.

Islam is a heretical mishmash of distorted Christian beliefs and pagan tribal violence. The life of Mohammad is a blueprint of how NOT to live your life.
Relativism will lead you down dark paths, RFK.

Your average American hates what he fears, and fears what he doesn’t understand.
I’ve worked with professional Americans who happened to be Muslim my entire life. They want the same thing you do. An opportunity to give their children a better life then they had.

Since the Biden administration my company has a sexual deviants club, newsletter, and network - forced wallpaper for the PCs.
So you can go frick yourself.
