MauLer goes extremely long on this ridiculously detailed breakdown on this hot mess of a game.
This video chronicles its release, updates, reactions and consequences. A rancid, extravagant nightmare for Ubisoft, as well as the personification of a prolapsing quadruple-A industry.
It's a 17 and 1/2 hour long masterclass in how to release a broken game but because of brand name, it's praised by the shill gaming community.

I’m a huge proponent of long form media, but even I’m not willing to burn 18 hours watching a video about a game and company I don’t give a shite about

That's not long form media, that's methuselah-form media.

it's quite hilarious that a top tier gaming company thought - 'Yeah, we've done it. Release it to the public!. We're gonna make a fortune!'. It's such a trash game from the basic story telling point to the visuals, the glitches , freezes, crashes...
Think of it as a mini series.
I just think it's an achievement there's that much content from ONE freaking game.

Without clicking on the video, the part that I always found amusing is that they took a seemingly attractive model to use as the basis for the main character and put on a master class in how to ugly that lady up. She didn’t even look human afterward.
I am not against a female protagonist but having to look at the freak they stitched together and knowing what the woman actually looked like would always take me out of the game.
It’s so funny to me how as women have become a more integral part of the development process, their innate jealousy prevents them from depicting women as anything less than a cave troll. Yet somehow the “male gaze” and misogyny is the problem?

I hope I'm never eaten up with hate for something as trivial as a video game that I decide to make something like this.
Just don't play the game. I will tell you that if you're itching for a "this was my childhood" Star Wars vibe, Outlaws kills it in that respect. Whatever was wrong with the stealth aspect of the game early on has been fixed and I actually have fun playing it. Space combat is even fun.
We can have the discussion about what's wrong with AAA games development all day long, but I'd venture a guess that this video is the afterbirth of this guy's disappointment with the fact that he can see himself sleeping with the protagonist.

Anyone who loves the sound of their own voice enough to make a 17.5 hour long video bitching about something is someone I'll just skip on past.
Yes, we get it - Outlaws was bad.
Real controversial take there. Next he'll be telling us that Phase 4 of the MCU was worse than the previous 3, or how the Snyder cut was better than the theatrical release of Justice League.

It’s nothing about that but sure, skipping this one is best for you.

I think it's good for all to skip. I liked it better when mental illness was kept on the street corner instead of 17 hour youtube videos. I could at least laugh at the loser on the corner.
Clicking this video will tell youtube that I'm sick.

Clicking that video will tell YouTube that you have a sense of curiosity and appreciate fine art. Because that’s what that is, a masterpiece. It’s humor, entertainment, and a not so subtle
to the gaming industry. And if you watch the video, it’s clear that this is not just one man’s opinion. There is a wide range of others playing the game and not holding back on their true views.

The 1st minute of the game is youtubers reading actaul quotes from game review sites who graded the game from 6, 7, to yes, even 8.5 out of 10.

Yea 5-7out of 10 with most of the reviewers I trust like Skill Up, ACG, Angry Joe (not shills imo) is what I remember...basically the game was flawed but a Star Wars fan may get some fun out of it. not heaping praise but I guess thats some praise. I never tried it b/c I just not interested in the Ubisoft open world formula anymore. Ghost Recon Breakpoint..was my breaking point.

FFS, 17 + hours of how bad this game is a colossal waste of money and time, but sure, 'some' might enjoy it.
The same folks who booked their 2nd and 3rd trips to the SW Galactiic Starcruiser hotel?
Who can't wait to get back to revel in Disneyland's amazing Galaxy's Edge experience?
Those who preordered Reva's iconic lightsaber on a crowdfund campaign?

People who actually take time to play the game.
A guy wasting his time releasing a 17 hour video of a game that's been out for over a year that only a handful of people are going to watch isn't the death knell you want it to be.

Wasting his time?
This is what he does! He's known for long form vids.
It's a post mortem, not a review of a game.
