Lane should propose: non-compete for players and coaches until after Ole Miss season is over. He coaches to the end and receives what is in his contract. And allow him to setup a shadow organization at LSU to begin recruit (portal and HS). He should negotiate 8hrs per week of LSU time the week of Ole Miss games. If Ole Miss isn’t playing that week, 24 hours.

What do you mean by this? Do you mean Lane being subject to a non-solicit with respect to Ole Miss players and coaches, or do you mean the Ole Miss players and coaches being subject to a non-compete? If the latter, how do you subject players to that?

Non-compete for 1 year and you got a deal.

It is sad you want our coaches and players. Tigers always wanting to be Ole Miss.

Every normal company lets an executive go with severance, they have them sign a non-compete… don’t come after our talent/employees for 1 year.

Doesn’t prevent the employees from contacting you.

Lane just can’t active (especially in writing) recruit current Ole Miss players until after season. And in doing so… Oke Miss allows him to have co-employment with LSU for next ~6 weeks. And they negotiate any terms of buy-out.

Or Lane goes right now and takes his best 10 players and coaches to LSU today. Bring the QB with a $1M payment as an absurd example.

That’s a non-solicit, not a non-compete.
