It's pretty obvious what Kiffin is doing and what he's going to do

Leaving is going to be very unpopular nationally and he is trying to make it look like he is agonizing, as doing it matter-of-factly would appear too callous. That's why the talk of prayer and asking his father for guidance.

Imo, he's known the whole time what he's going to do and how bad it's going to look.

I think he is wanting to finish out with his team and the pressure is building to let him do it.

Yeah seems pretty simple. He wants to finish with team. We want him to sign now. He can’t sign and finish. OM won’t let him.
We can’t go with “handshake deal” that he truly will come if he finishes.

I think he's handled this situation about as good as a coach said. The only reason he's getting a negative response is his past. It doesn't appear he's lied to anyone, he's been open to Ole Miss that he's looking, etc. Not sure what else people want him to do, other than stay at an inferior school because they finally had a great season?

He might want to physically get out of Mississippi before the announcement, as well. I mean, OM fans aren't violent inbreds like the Crimson Trailer Rats but I expect he would still like to officially break the news on friendly turf.

If i was LSU i would be inclined to let him finish. Maybe take a few days since you wont be in the SECCG most likely and talk with staff to bring or go get.
I think players knowing Lane is coming is enough of a draw and have NIL dept make some deals and get recruits

Is OM going to let him sign an LSU contract or are you going to just take his word? Tennessee trusted Kiffin back in the day.

He knows this year is peak Ole Miss. They have a season like this once every 60 years. Next year it won't be the same and his market value will not be the same.
It's night and day recruiting to LSU vs recruiting to Ole Miss. He acknowledged that yesterday.

He is looking at a 15–20-year decision vs a 2-month decision.

He is Baton Rouge bound and will build a beast of a program here.
