At some point you have to give Kiffin a hard deadline

If the reports this morning are true, and he is waffling and getting cold feet, you have to give him a firm deadline to sign a deal or you move on to Dillingham or your second choice. I know Verge has said he would wait til after the playoffs for the right guy, but if you wait til early January and ends up not coming, you are caught with your pants down

You are taking what media members are saying. The thing is tho, they all say different things so what is true? Only Lane knows what’s true so why does he need to announce something the media created?

Kiffin controls this. We have to remain patient until he decides. Now if they lose today it will be easier for him.

Feels like a rug pull coming. Hope I’m wrong.

Does how Kiffen handled himself at UT suggest he would live by any verbal agreement?

Does how he is handling himself now suggest that he would?

LSU may be getting a good coach, but they’re also getting an unserious man. And he will treat LSU like he treated UT and OM if given the chance. He job will always be about “me”

Cocaine is a helluva high, and easy to fall in love with. Ultimately, it’s a bad idea.

People think the longer this waits the better for LSU.

The longer Kiffin tosses and turns in his bed is absolutely not good for LSU. We all bought the finishing the season with your guys, but you have to move on if he doesn't know by Monday

True, but what is that point? Who is your backup, and what are the odds of him going elsewhere if you don't pull the trigger? That may dictate the timing if nothing is firmed up this weekend.

I wonder if we don’t have a definite “yes” already for a plan B. Regardless of what some may think, I doubt there wouldn’t be a backup plan. Knowing that you need to be able to make an announcement by early next week there is an alternate. The question is who.

You must be new. We’re talking about LSU here.

I’m not sure how any LSU fan is legitimately excited about Kiffin at this point.

I was amused by all this at first, but screwing with everyone’s emotions sucks. I can see why OM is sick of his shite.

I wanted Kiffin 4 years ago and I still think he’s one of the top 5 coaches in the country right now, but this isn’t worth missing out on the first recruiting cycle and the portal.

I’d start negotiating with your #2 and if Kiffin can’t sign a contract by Saturday morning, move on without him.
