Say LK did stay at OM

Would there be some fans that would “never forgive him”? Or would they just accept him back into the fold. I guess winning covers all sins.

Both- if he stays he goes to the nfl in a year or two

Only way he’d be forgiven is a NC (if he stayed)

There were LSU fans that didn't want Saban back while he was with the Dolphins. Eventually you get tired of your mate flirting with other people.

Maybe wishful thinking on my part but I cant see how all is just forgiven and forgotten at this point. They are sick of this shite every year and even if he stays and leads them to a playoff semifinal, for ex, there's gotta be some resentful feelings lingering

No. Just means that we need to get Dilly on-board and come to play every time we play them....we don't go down that rabbit hole next time our job is open though. This should be it.

He’s drawing this out so long I don’t think anyone will be truly excited when he makes his decision. He’s just exhausting a lot of his good will everywhere. The pressure will be so high to get a championship, without all the cute tweets and yoga posts. He and Jimmy are making it this way.

To be fair the College Football schedule is the main reason why this is such a cluster...he wants to Coach his team for the rest of the season. There is no perfect time for a move to be made.

I’m under the impression that he hasn’t completely decided. Based solely on the fact that nothing has leaked and I think that is like next to zero chance of happening if he has made a commitment either way.

I remember. Every offseason was nonstop talk about him leaving until he finally did. That whole situation was a perfect example of “fatigue”

I agree with you on his final decision but he has always remained the same in saying he wants to Coach the team through the rest of the season including the playoffs.

1) I think it just seems this way because we’re in the middle of it. Come August (probably way before) and everybody is getting fired up form their upcoming season, I think this will be way past every party involved, and we will all have moved on.
2) I disagree that it’s Lane’s fault. Or Sexton’s. Or Ole Miss’s. It’s mainly due to the new calendar schedule, and since the entity that put it together is faceless, our nature is to put a face to it so we actually have someone(s) to blame. And Lane and/or Sexton are the easiest faces to put on it.
I was actually just watching a YouTube show with a divorce attorney, whose name, coincidentally, is James Sexton. And he ended the show with this quote, “It’s a lot easier to make a decision between what is right and what is wrong, than it to make a decision based on what is the “rightest” of 2 wrongs. I think this is where Lane is.
He wants to make the “right” decision, but due to a bunch of circumstances, most of which are beyond his control, there is no clear “right” decision, only a series of “wrongs,” and he’s trying to make the “rightest” of those wrongs. He may not be handling it the perfect way, but is there one? He may be naive in hoping he can have his cake and it it too and not piss anybody off, but I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and suggest he doing all this in good faith. Again, naive and impossible as that may be.
