PGA Tour continues to move towards being LIV-lite

Late season start, eliminating several tournaments, adding bye weeks after the majors, and adding events in major cities.
This is after adding premium "no-cut" events in the last few seasons.

As someone who lives on the West Coast, this absolutely sucks.

Bye week could be a good thing for Zurich if it’s the first tournament following The Masters.

So LIV, whose dick you sucked, has brought us the fans less golf and less drama
But the players make more money. Wow, I totally get why you cheered for LIV

Hawaii event is eliminated because Kapalua is in horrendous condition right now.

I thought LIV was irrelevant and had terrible rules? Yet every season the PGA has had to be more like LIV to slow down the star power drain.
Seems like LIV is doing some things right.

I can’t imagine being as dumb as you
The only thing LIV brought that is actually “different” from a golf perspective
Is:
Shotgun starts
54 holes (already changed to be like PGA tour)
Shorts (changing to be like PGA tour)
Blaring music during the rounds
I see nothing that the PGA tour is taking from LIV

No-cut events which you shite on, that the PGA had to steal from LIV to keep their players happy.

The PGA Tour had over 5 no cut events before LIV ever existed

The Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

CJ
Zozo
The Fed Ex playoff events
The WGCs when they were played
The Sentry
Limited no cut events was absolutely not something LIV game up with
Let me guess they also invented the flag stick ?

For the PGA Tour it's a money thing! Corporate America is spending their money elsewhere!

With 20-22 events the Zurich will be correctly eliminated. It’s a stupid format gimmick, one of the worst attended and viewed events on a course consistently rated the worst on tour.
Kill the Zurich!

The Zurich does very well with in person attendance. It had 115k over 4 days in 2024

Man all PGA Tour Commish had to do was take a meeting w Phil and implement a change or 2
Instead, Phil was ignored and ultimately cucked the PGA Tour Commish on the back end
And now the PGA is forced into those changes, otherwise the rest of the marquee players would be onto the LIV (as it's the superior format and tour-otherwise why else is the PGA Tour copying it?)

I’m thankful for Phil and Pride

Phil has been validated on almost everything.
However, isn't NUCLR GOLF a troll site?

Don’t think that quite panned out

The WGCs were the worst because you’d have people play like 1 hole and WD to make $50k
Or you could be awful and do the same. There’d always be one Asian Tour play to finish in last place.
