Can we talk about the 8-3 Chicago Bears?

They've won 8 of their last 9 and Caleb has a respectable 13 passing TDs to 4 INTs. They've got Philly up next and two games against the Packers but this looks to be a playoff team right now.

They’ve played the easiest schedule in the league (by a significant margin) and 6 of those 8 wins have been by one score. Negative point differential
Today they got their first win over a team with a winning record. A convincing 3-point victory against a team with a backup QB
@PHI
@GB
CLE
GB
@SF
DET
The final stretch should fix that record. At least if you’re a Bears fan that’s what you should hope for, because they are way, way too mediocre to be picking closer to #20 than #10

They have played a VERY soft schedule, and the rate at which the defense is getting TOs is probably not sustainable.
I will admit that Caleb has played A LITTLE better than I expected. But the team is still “winning with him” and not “winning because of him”. That’s not what I want from a #1 pick.
There is still 6 games left in the regular season, so I am kind of curious to see what he does with the rest of it. There is definitely still time for him to continue to develop. I still think he will be a bust….. It’s hard for me to see someone that feminine making it as a franchise QB

Typically they've been on the other side of these one score games

I think they can split the series with GB and pick up a W against CLE and that is good enough for 10 wins which I would consider to be a great season for the Bears.

Kind of pulling for him because of the sheer amount of hate that he is getting and Chicago has been bad for a very long time. He has yet to put up a 300+ yard passing game this season so he will likely continue the trend of no Bears QB throwing for more than 4k yards in a season.

Ya let’s talk, if and big if they make playoffs with what the schedule they have left, will be an easy win for whoever they draw first round.
Friday shoulda be a litmus test for them.

I'd check the Patriot's schedule before saying something this incorrect.
At least be right with attempted fact checks

Just getting to the playoffs will be a massive win for the Bears since they've been in a playoff-drought since 2020.

That sub 3% number does not represent a significant margin. I'd check the English language, baw.

I’m not sure the 2025 Bears are better than the 2023 Bears that went 7-10 in a loaded NFC North

There is no such thing as an "easy" schedule in the NFL. Every game you win is a good win.
This isn't college football.
Just win baby.

If they go 10-7 in a still loaded NFC North, yes

When every win is against bad teams and/or it’s all squeaking out, there’s only one way it ends in January

Mediocre can even be 13-4, like the 2022 Vikings that finished with a negative point differential before the predictable first round home loss to a 9-7-1 NYG team

It's the NFL. Professional football. Every win is a good win.
