Dude has done nothing to warrant a raise or extension but because Penn state may have called him the AD just gives in to whatever he wants. Oh yeah and then he gets blown out by an interim coach at Penn state

Almost as dumb as giving Orgeron a 50 million dollar buy out

How many coaches can they burn through before accepting that they’ll never get back to what they once were?

Nebraska will never be the old Nebraska but 3-4 losses per year has been their norm yet they pay exorbitant buyouts and salaries. Kind of makes poor old us sit in the back of the room and hopefully stumble over a diamond in the rough, and then he's gone as soon as his skills are known to all.

I could easily see Rhule leaving and doing well somewhere else. That’s now like a top 30/40 job

That was their norm under Pelini. They've only had one season as good as 4 losses since they fired him.

10-16 in the Big Ten and they tie themselves to the guy with a 12.5/mill year contract.

These schools have gone full retard.

But wasn't there some incident(s) with him that gave them cause, irrespective of his won/loss record?

But it’s not your money so why should you care?

Am I doing this right?

In hindsight that was dumb but at least he won a championship to earn it

At some point the AU,FLA,LSU,NEBs of the world need to quit firing coaches and become more stable. It took Dabo 7-8 yrs to get Clem to the top,Kirby 6yrs at Georgia,Frank Beamer 9 yrs to build VTech. It will take Rhule at least 2 more seasons to be able to compete but people already want him gone. Not all programs have the money to buy a team so it takes longer. The schools I have mentioned have become revolving doors for coaches and look at the results.
