Borrego ball is actually enjoyable and doesnt involve holding the ball 5 feet outside the 3pt line with 8 seconds left in the clock to start action.

I hope this is the case, but it's tough without pure scorers on the floor. We need Zion and Poole back ASAP. That will open up the floor for supporting players.
70 games left in the season. We need to put together a big run..

Which is ridiculous because of Willie's whole .5 or whatever it was called.

The two biggest beneficiaries of JB’s scheme will be
Hawk (as much as everyone will hate this, but this scheme is tailor made for what Hawk is good at)
Trey (he will actually have plays ran for him and not be expected to create his own shot)
Two losers?
Herb and Jose, Herb more than Jose.

Y'all acting like Borrego has been locked in a closet with no offensive input as an assistant are in for a rude-arse awakening.
He's not a good coach and this is not a good roster.

You might be right but for a while now I’ve read and heard that Willie was not open to suggestions or trying different things. I’m not sure if that’s factual but I tend to believe it because we’ve watched the same exact problems for years.
The roster does have holes in it and it won’t do much if we’re not healthy. There should be more changes made and some probably won’t like them.

Well…the way these guys play defense they are going to have to score 140 a game to keep it competitive.

There’s multiple beat writers that’s been saying the last couple weeks the coaching staff was fed up with Willie because they had no input and he was very arrogant. If you’ve ever watched JB’s system what we have been running the last 3 years is not even close to it.
You can thank Ingram for that, he complained the first year JB came in and started installing his offense and Willie scrapped it.

Sure. Maybe this is truly a Willie green problem.
Our bench last night consisted of:
Queen
Jose
Hawkins
Peavy
Missi
Markovic
We don’t have an nba roster. We aren’t going to win many nba games.

Can’t wait. Zion will be great in a fast paced offense.

You might want to rethink your criticism of the bench…

In the 2025–26 season so far, the Pelicans bench is averaging 40.5 points per game, which ranks them 6th in the NBA.

Plus...I'm not convinced that Herb is gonna be around...after 1/14/26...which is NOT that far off.

Fine. Our starters on Friday were
Looney
Bey
Jones
Murphy

That excites me and scares at the same time. Our lack of defense. We’re at the top of points allowed.
