He says Kiffin appears to still be the top target but that they’re also looking at Marcus Freeman and Drink if Kiffin doesn’t work out. Drink is such a huge question mark but I think there’s a little potential with him. Obviously Freeman would be a massive hire but I don’t think he’ll come to LSU.

I still want Kiffin.

This was taken from On3 as of 30 minutes ago.

Why? Kiffin is the top choice. But you gotta have a backup if the man says no.

I could see Drink working at LSU. I know his big game record isn’t what we want, but the guy is at Mizzou.

He gives me Les Miles vibes in a good way. Quirky has worked for LSU in the past.

Another coach from Notre Damn would be an unpopular move to the majority of the fans in my opinion.

Kiffin - Yes / Pipe Dream
Freeman - Also, Yes
Drink - No

I still like ASU's coach but who know where this is going. I'm not too hopeful.

i feel like we're chasing lazy choices instead of being aggressive and not afraid to hire an up and comer that has a hungry desire to be here right now. We're over paying for decent resumes that i'm not sure are slam dunk championship caliber coaches. if lane was fat and ugly, he would not be this highly sought after.

Les you felt like he might have something mentally wrong with him but he always seemed like an alpha. Drink just seems like a Goober. Do not want.

Everybody is going to be an option at this point. I don’t see freeman at all, he’s already said no before and has a very good situation at ND. Don’t see what has changed?

Drink could bolt, but it wouldn’t be for money. He’s already making around 9 if I’m right.

Everyone on the committee agrees on Kiffin.
after that:
Ballard wants Drink
Verge wants Freeman

Both already make $9mm. Personally I cant imagine paying Drink $11mm or whatever it would take to get him. Hes never won anything of consequence. At least Freeman got to the NCG.

The real question is what happens if Kiffin stays, Drink goes to UF/Penn State and Freeman stays at ND. Where do we turn then?

It would, but I don't believe he would leave. And why should he? Damn near have a guaranteed spot in the playoff every year.

It’s one thing if Kiffin goes to Florida and we make a good hire at LSU. There are absolutely other coaches besides Kiffin that would do well at LSU.

But god help us if Kiffin goes to Florida and Drink is LSU’s hire. There will be a lot of melting. And I’d have a difficult time not melting with everyone.

Give me Kiffin. If not him lets go Dillingham, Heupel, Golesh, Morris. Then coordinators. THEN Drink. I would not like him here.

If LSU hires Drink, I'm done with LSU football.

This would be close to the worst case scenario. Can’t happen.
