Sunday afternoon it came down. Both neigbors called me to tell me. Thankfully none of us were home when it happened. I was at work and the girls were running errands. It left a baseball sized hole in the roof above the attic and a smaller hole above the living room. Insurance is replacing the entire roof.

Could have been worse.

We just finished up a remodel on a house where the tree crashed through the roof and pinned the lady to the ground. Broke her leg. She laid there for a while pinned to the ground with the limb on her, 70 years old.

Yeah I took it out. I don't think they read TD but you never know. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks.

I had just mowed them Friday and we had rain and wind come in Friday night into Saturday morning and more leaves fell.

Just gotta stay ahead of it the best you can.

A little over a year ago my sister’s neighbor was having a massive pine tree taken down on the property line. There was a bit of a feud over it.

Day of the Vandy-Bama game. My sister was in the kitchen when the tree crashed through their roof and into her dining room and kitchen. Knocked her out (not seriously injured). Turns out the neighbor hired her jackoff nephew to do it by himself. An 80 foot, 30 inch diameter pine tree. Insurance estimated it weighed about 35,000 pounds. They are just now finishing up repairs. Lived in an extended stay hotel for almost a year. Was a nightmare.

Some folks wait til after Thanksgiving so all the leaves are down. Don’t have to do it twice.

BabyTac will be along soon to tell you a real man would have taken the tree down himself.

Oh and also to tell you that you're a dumbass for having homeowner's insurance. If you can't afford to fix these damages yourself, you shouldn't own a home.

I can't afford it to have mine taken down and I don't trust myself to do it.

Just say you don't give a shite about the leaves and you think they are pretty.

I don't rake or blow or mow my leaves either. Just own it, don't make up petty lies.

Sorry about your house.
