Cohen revealed on November 11 that Auburn has already spoken with 7-8 sitting head coaches and aims to name a hire within 24 hours after the Iron Bowl against Alabama on November 22, though history suggests it could stretch into December. ?

This is probably obvious but it means its not a P4 playoff coach (duh). Sumrall makes sense here

Based on what exactly? Y’all are inferior to both of your biggest rivals and haven’t been relevant nationally in a long time.

More stable. We have better administrators. Better city/community. Twice the endowment and better school. Sets in a better recruiting area. 4th largest NIL budget in the SEC.

This suggests it's Sumrall and that LSU wasn't looking at him as an option. This makes sense considering the political issue of LSU taking Tulane's coach.

C'mon buddy. My wife played golf at Auburn and graduated from there and even she knows this isn't even close to being true.

Half of this is subjectively false

If half of this were true, what has held y’all back from winning? Y’all have never even made a playoff once.

Get back to us when you hire a sitting P4 coach.

Our hires haven’t always worked, but Kelly, Miles, Saban were employed at P4 schools and lured away.

Harsin, Freeze, Chizik etc have none of that. Nor will Sumrall.

In the short-term. Your last coaches lasted 2 years and 3 years, so the leash is pretty short on the plains.

Nope

Laughable that you think Auburn sits in a better recruiting area than LSU.

Site your source. Everywhere you look online Texas, Texas a&m, LSU, UGA, and Bama are the top five in the SEC.

Not really

True

Very true

Twice the endowment and better school

Doesn’t matter for semi-pro football

area

Comically false. LSU sits in the second largest recruiting area in the country next to Southern California and doesn’t have any P4 in state competition. LSU has the largest “uncontested” recruiting area in the SEC.

Half true? It is all facts. LSU is statically the worse school in the SEC. There is no arguing Auburn is a better place to work, live and raise a family. You can let this play out and see what your current state of your program gets you in terms of a HC. Arkansas is more stable than LSU at the moment.

Not political in the sense that it could get someone tossed out of office, but there are a lot of Tulane boosters that send campaign funds and would be pretty pissed if the LSU shitshow that was ramped up by our governor lead to their coach getting hired by LSU. That's what I was referring to.
