The idea that listening to or otherwise taking in divergent opinions = "following" them

Is this the most tiresome childish narrative ever?

It's pretty bad. I wonder if some people are about to come full circle on this issue.

Agree.
Just because I may read Mein Kampf wouldn't make me a Nazi.

The idea that a guy who made his entire career on Fox news out of hammering guests he disagreed with and pummeling them into oblivion on air is not making a deliberate choice to attempt to legitimize—at least to some degree—someone that he doesn't challenge at all on celebrating Stalin's birthday, claiming that women want to be raped and beaten, and idolizing Hilter, is asinine.
I'm not saying Huckster believes those things too. I don't think he has any beliefs of his own (and his history bears that out), he just appropriates what sells. I'm saying it is in his be$t interest to act like Fuentes is something other than a kook that no one should pay any attention to.
Case in point. Everybody is talking about him.
(And if you were talking about something else, then I apologize. It wasn't very specific.).

At least for the niche he's targeting.
Now, the question becomes, what do we extrapolate from that?
This is clearly on top of the ability to call him the g-word.
Fuentes isn't even a biggie, to me. Playing just the tip with boomer CTs is showing his turn much more to me.

Right, but he's been targeting the same niche for quite some time now. Rightist populists.

That rightist populists will believe anything and follow any influencer, as long as not just opposing Israel, but furthering Israeli conspiracy theories, is part of the narrative.
They are over on the weather thread right now trying to convince people that it's reasonable that the government controls the weather. Because Huckster had a guest on that said so.

I've been decrying Huckster since before he left (was fired) from Fox, as he clearly made a deliberate choice to turn tabloid. But it's hard to imagine a more fringe, extreme guy to legitimize. It's noteworthy in that respect IMO.

I don't know what that means.

Legitimizing. There's such a huge difference.

Nobody said anything about ignoring him. I would have liked to have seen Huckster not ignore him like he used to not ignore his guests on Fox News.

I think he's beyond that population now. He's run through all the standard right-populism stuff, for the most part.

Chemtrails, weather manipulation, etc.

I see.
Yeah.
I've said it here many times well before Fuentes. He's the new Art Bell.

It's pretty tiresome. "Oh, you want to listen to so and so speak, then you must be a nazi." The label making, name calling, etc. is the childish part. Let me hear all the other people's opinion so I can formulate my own. The cancel culture needs to come to an end.

I had his tribute thread bookmarked but I think it's so old it's been permanently deleted.
Props to LSURussian for helping pay for his funeral, too.
Underrated, somewhat forgotten, and ahead of the curve (in terms of the zeitgeist) was GMorgan. He was a big proponent on advanced ancient civilizations.

To get this back on track a bit, I think all of these people are basically doing an impression of Gavin McGinnes, FWIW.
