It's got to be Jeff Landry pushing the "for cause" bullshite, right?

No way LSU decided after the fact to claim it was for cause, right? Had to be the governor.

I can't stress enough how much Jeff Landry needs to lose his reelection bid.

Most likely. Who else would be making that decision for LSU? Landry has already outright said how involved he is.

It’s also just right out of his playbook

How anybody ever voted for the dumbass is incomprehensible. Anybody who votes to re-elect this dumbass should be involuntarily committed to a mental hospital.

Gordon on AFR last week pretty much said Landry doesn’t want to pay the buyout

Agreed. And before everyone rains downvotes onto me, it's ok to be very conservative but also think that Jeff Landry is an imbecile.

My theory is he went out and made his big speech about awful contracts, and guaranteed money and taxpayer burden, and thought that was going to make him the center of conversation, and endear him to everybody that thinks coaching contracts are completely one sided and out of hand(which they are)

Then along comes one or more donors who just say "Eh, we got it, no big deal". And now he's going to feel like he's got egg on his face, and his spotlight is dimming. How do you fix that? By directing your puppets on the board and leadership positions to fight the buyout, you know "for the people"

Whatever happened to the story that a single booster had stepped up to cover the vast majority of the buyout? If the money is coming from a private individual, then Landry needs to stick his nose somewhere else and STFU

Without getting political....that's for the PTBoard, there were lots of us saying this prior to his being elected. But then you are talking a state that a district elected Clay Higgins to Congress

Both Landry and Gordon have said, publicly, this is false.

That booster's brother, who himself is very plugged in with all of the big money boosters and LSU admin, has said more than once that the story is BS, and that money was never promised.

It’s exactly how he’s acted with the LSU law professor firing, how he acted with Tate, how he acted with his Ten Commandments in school.

This is exactly how state institutions under his control have consistently acted in his tenure.

Love all the downvoters mad that Landry is getting called out for acting exactly like everyone knew he would and how he told you he would act if elected governor

He wants to be like Trump SO BAD that he's actually the opposite of Trump and he looks like a retarded possum backed into a hallowed out tree trunk. He's going to keep acting this way until LSU is destroyed.

I think a better description is "Landry runs the state based off reading the comments of the LCD posters".

This is like the Canada OC stuff on steroids

But I also think the calculated PR stuff (spreading all the stories/rumors about BK's affairs, laziness, etc.) are blowing up in their face more than anything.

This whole thing is a clown show, from Woodward's 180 (not firing BK to firing him after the disastrous meeting) to Landry going full Bobby Boucher, to this PR backfire.

Against Cleo Fields? Highly unlikely. You overestimate LSU sway in elections.

Blanco was as anti LSU as it gets yet won.
