I do not like the way he did it, but Landry got it right. Everyone wanted to get rid of BK. 75% of those people wanted to get rid of SW. Landry stepped up and made the moves. If he had not, where would we be today in terms of finding a good Head Coach?

I don’t remember anyone on this board who wanted LSU’s athletic program and reputation laid to waste? Did I miss something?

He didn’t get rid of him. Not until he pays him the money that is legally owed.

Probably in a better place since they sloppy way they've handled this will keep good coaches away.

With this shitshow, you ain't finding any top tier coaches. No Lane, No Heupel, No Key.

I hear Michael Vick may be interested!

This board wanted a politician to drop a nuke on the university?

Lawsuit Landry did what he does best: gets lawsuits filed in the courthouse. Only this one is not by his buddies against corporations, it's against LSU.

Like I said, I do not like the way it was handled. If Landry did not make the moves, we wouild still have BK today.

We will still get a great coach that will give us a chance to be very successful!

It’s not THAT they did it, it’s HOW THEYRE DOING IT. The way it was and is being handled is the whole problem. Not one of the problems. Some of yall are dense

Agree 100%.

If I stick out my neck and give a vendor $100 million guaranteed contract and he fails, my boss (the CEO) better fire me. If the CEO doesn’t step down, the board will demand him be removed.

No difference here. LSU is a state school. People should be praising Landry for demanding answers.

I hope they’ve taken every big name off their board. This shite will give all of them pause.

ETA: Just pay him out over 6 years like the contract supposedly states and move on.

I am sorry but no way is a Gov inserting himself into the Athletic Department a good idea. it wasn't a good idea when he forced LSU to put a fat Tiger into the stadium because a donor of Landry wanted it to happen. And its not a good idea now. Politics should not be in sports.

Did SW do a lot of bad things with the Football program? Yes. Did SW meddle which caused these situations to be worse? yes. Did Kelly give his full effort and attention to the football team? No. Did Kelly Deserve to be fired? yes. But the manner in which it all went down was an absolute shite show and the Gov should never have gotten in front of the mic and spoke about it. If he was needed because of the lack of a sitting President then sure let it be in the background and not in the public. By him doing interviews (multiple) and being dishonest and basically dancing on the grave of Woodward and Kelly was the wrong move. It has only made the situations worse.
