Unless a person has a medical prescription, isn’t weed still illegal in Louisiana?

I’m on the road a bit and more often than not I’ll catch a strong whiff of it coming from the car next to me or the one in front. Windows rolled up, and I can still smell it. How do cops not notice this?

It feels like half the people on the road are driving around high. How is this just normal now? Do the people who smoke weed while driving not realize the smell doesn't just stay in their vehicle?

Speeding is illegal
Not having insurance is illegal
Murder is illegal
Illegals are illegal

Still see those everywhere too.

It's almost as if making something illegal doesn't stop the behavior

This country is coming to a big decline.

Started with working from home becoming more than a temporary thing to get through the pandemic.

Since, porn use has skyrocketed, drugs are being legalized, gambling legalized, and society as a whole completely lacking self awareness.

Because all you have to do it tell them you can’t sleep or have headaches to get a prescription. Plus it’s mostly decriminalized so people don’t give a shite about hiding it. It’s become almost as normal as smoking a cigarette

Getting a prescription is just a formality. They might as well just legalize it, its so easy to get one.

Of course the Alcohol lobbyists and medical marijuana folks want to keep it like it is for obvious reasons.

This is easier to acquire than an actual Library card.

Technically you can't buy here because Oklahoma only has medical.

But our laws are so lax and prices are so low that it's easy to acquire. With my card, I can get really good flower for under or right at 100/oz otd.

We do have a shite ton of Chinese illegal grow operations out in the sticks of rural Oklahoma.

To me, it smells like a skunk. It's an awful smell for a temporary high.

I'll admit I haven't been to a doctor in well over 3 years, and am out of tune of just how easy it appears to be to obtain a medical marijuana card. Plus, it's not one of first or fifth things on my mind *when* I go to the doctor.

Local municipal governments don’t make money on drug busts. Hence the hidden tax collectors mostly concern themselves with issuing speeding tickets, window tint tickets, etc.

As usual follow the money

A cultural mindset that blatantly disregards the fear of consequences encourages this behavior.

Bc it’s mostly black people doing it and cops aren’t risking getting blasted all over the internet and having their lives ruined over a joint.

You’re seeing more of it bc they know nothings going to happen to them. Same reason shop lifting is up. Soft on crime policies and zero accountability are running rampant in our country right now.

Might be a blunt(no pun intended) way of putting it but it’s the truth. I’ve also noticed hardly any black peoples have their medical card. I have mine and can prob count on one hand how many black people I’ve seen in dispensaries. But I’ve been asked to sell them some quite a bit when I see them hanging out at the pipe shop next door.

I’m a smoker and im all for legalizing it but it annoys the shite out of me seeing it done in public.

I smoke every day, but I only smoke on my front porch on my property and I don't have neighbors.

I understand that most people don't want to smell it and I respect society and its unwritten rules. "Smokey, this isn't Nam, this is bowling. There are rules."
