Has Ory Williams been discussed?

He saw a pretty fair amount of time on the OL and I thought he played decently. Putting him definitely did not make the OL weaker. This guy has to be intimidating on the field just by his mere size! He's listed as 6'8" 335lb. "The Mountain"

Makes you wonder why he hasn’t received any PT

Only a freshman

He and Weston are both RS freshmen
In Ory’s case though, I read that he only played 2 years of football in HS. So maybe it just took some time to get acclimated.
I hope the new coach can hang on to a lot of our OL because they’re relatively young and I’d like to see them with better coaching.

Maybe he wasn't able to get up to speed mentally or physically yet. If he hasn't played, I'll take the coach's opinion that sees them practice everyday.

So is Davis, Curne and some others who received more PT

I agree as to your second sentence. Since I’m not at practice, I can’t weigh in on that.
As to the first, he must’ve come up to speed recently I guess.
As to the whole, I think this may be a further indictment on Brad Davis’s performance. Not only is his coaching ability suspect, but his personnel decisions are questionable as well

Was he always at RT or did they move him there? Interesting that Curne started at RT vs Ole Miss when Davis was out, but now Curne is at LT.
Also was Davis injured vs Bama or just benched?

He’s always been an OT. I believe that he’s always been projected as a RT from out of high school to every depth chart I’ve seen in his 2 years at LSU

I was just curious if that’s where he started the season & why wasn’t he the backup vs Ole Miss
I recall there being somewhat of a competition at RT before Davis was announced as starter. Was it Davis vs Williams?
ETA: an old scotcho depth chart has Williams at LT. Seeing that Curne originally was backup at RT & now is at LT with Adam’s out, I’d say Williams is just our #4 OT & they’re moving pieces around

Honestly, I don’t remember.
As far as Curne goes, I believe he was originally supposed to be a guard, but he has tremendous athleticism so they used him at tackle

Yeah. I like Scotcho’s depth charts and was disappointed that he stopped doing them after the Florida game.
But I’ve seen lots of different depth charts on different websites and remember some of the reports coming out of Spring and Fall practices. Therefore, I like to look at depth charts before the season begins. That usually shows where the players were getting the most looks as far as position, even though it can change during the season.
I know Ory has been listed at RT in the majority of the depth charts I’ve seen. I believe that’s probably based on the relative athleticism compared to other tackles. Looks like the coaches have confidence in his abilities at LT.
On some websites, Curne is listed as backup at the start of the season at both LT and RT.
