Forget the demographics, the electric street lamps are totally revisionist history. According to AI the first electric street lamp in Chicago was installed 7 years after this scene in 1987.

Why do this?

I probably won't watch it. If I didn't have a family I probably would only have an antenna and WIFI for YouTube.

I’d rather a show use incorrect lights and I be able to see the scene then use historically accurate lights and not be able to see the scene.

So it's a fictional show.

I pay $4.99/mo for OAN and $13.99/mo for YT Premium. Decoupling from mainstream television and propaganda has been awesome.

Black Panther is beyond fiction,

it's fantasy.

I think its an entertaining series, although I have no idea how historically accurate it might be. He'll, the only thing I knew about James Garfield was that he loved lasagna and hated Mondays.

It may be fictional, but I don't think its "propoganda" because there isn't really a political message at all....other than New York politics being corrupt AF in the 19th century.

There's certainly some overtones such as his daughter pushing that Chinese immigrants had just as much rights as anyone to enjoy the land when people protested mass immigration of cheap labor. Not saying those topics didn't exist, but you could feel some political leanings being simplified to drive a particular point that is relevant even still today.

Historical shows usually say more about the time they’re made than the time they’re set in—and this one’s no different.

Flaws aside, I’ve really enjoyed it.

Would explain why Wrigley didn’t do night games until 1988

Nothing new. Tombstone was filmed 30+ years ago, and they showed, in a tiny 1880s western town, a wagon driving around town with a gaggle of women and a huge banner EQUAL WORK FOR EQUAL PAY”

Just a wild guess: this never happened.
