In his coaching days, a player asked if he had played in the league. He responded with a simple, "Yes".

One of the other players, "He's in the Hall of Fame".

Lenny was a Seattle legend. He was raised by his single white mother and had to endure racial harassment from kids in his Brooklyn neighborhood. His biggest disappointment was being cut from the 1960 Olympic basketball team. Never heard a bad thing about him.

Seemed like a good man. Always thought the league was better with him in it.

Lenny did not curse. His assistants had to handle that for him.
Hall of Fame player, Hall of Fame coach.
