Example: Car Insurance. Do I call the Car Insurance Company when my windshield wiper needs replacing, my oil changed, a tuneup, new tires, etc and expect just to pay a co-pay and have them pay the rest? No, I call them after a collision or a car theft and expect them to pay, minus my deductible. Otherwise car insurance would be about the same as health insurance, $1000.00 a month.

Home Insurance. Do I call my Homeowner Insurance Company when my sink is clogged, my a/c or hot water heater breaks, if my house needs a paint job , or if a lightbulb goes out? No, I call them if my house burns down , a hurricane, tornado, storm etc wrecks it. Otherwise home insurance would be 4x more than it is now. In Florida it’s too high already.

Health Insurance. When I go to a doctor, I always pay a copay even if it just for a simple procedure. The insurance pays for everything else. If everyone was paying out of pocket except for major issues the prices of procedures and payments and insurance costs would go down. But the big pharmaceutical and medical insurance companies have rigged it in their favor, it will never be fixed.

Trump posted a chart with all the major Health Insurance providers with their stock price increases since Osamacare started.

One was 1100% in 15 years

So they are taking subsidiaries from the government then recording record profits for their stock holders.

I’m sure a lot of politicians hold huge stakes in these companies

Remember when Jon Grubber explained the bait and switch sales approach to Obamacare?

ACA was written by health insurance companies

The previous system also sucked

When you have an almost 100% insurance based system, it's going to suck. There is no escaping that reality.

Arguments heard 30 years ago when Hillary Care was being pushed on us.

Stunning at the insufferable tenacity of these statists and their desire to consume our freedoms for their greed.

While entirely true as worked in the industry at the time, it was designed to be a shite show in order to make socialized medicine the law of the land. That’s why there were so many y delays. The insurance companies couldn’t figure out how to stick after the Obama klan won. Fortunately, DC is dysfunctional

Let’s state the real thing going on. You could give a lot of people free insurance and they’d bitch about out of pocket, co-pays and deductibles. It costs too much. It’s Trump’s fault. It isn’t affordable.

Thats how it started when people only had tonhave major medical for.shite like hospitalizations. Everything else was cash.

They realized everyone can make.money and passing the costs down to the individual for a shite subscription service. All.levels in medical makes Money at every stop.

Similar to building houses now. Everyone has a GF and subs every fricking thing out. When my dad built houses they did it all from digging foundation to finish work and turn key. Everything but bricks and concrete finishing. Houses were way cheaper to build just because of a single builder.

Here’s the epiphany I had when being treated for cancer 15 years ago.

Insurance companies will religiously say… it’s not us, we’re only making 3%.

I believe insurance companies are pushing costs up because 3% of $50B is a lot more money than 3% off of $20B.

The medical industry charges insane fees, perhaps it’s because of non-insured people stiffing them on bills, I’m not sure. But for example, my son had an abscess on the back of his throat. Urgent care sent him to the ER, they lanced it that night and he spent an additional night for observation due to running a fever. The bill was 38k, and that’s ridiculous.

You're absolutely right. My healthcare plan thru my employer is great. No complaints whatsoever. Most check-ups don't even require co-pay. My friend has BlueShield thru Obamacare and she pays $50 co-pay for routine check-ups!

I hope your son bounced back quickly from the procedure. Yes, $38k is absolutely absurd… but it wouldn’t surprise me if the insurance company set the cost prohibitive price.

After my treatments, I had to get a pet scan once every 6 months. The charge was $12k from which, insurance paid $7k.

The hospital billed me $5k and I told them to pound sand. I didn’t pay 1 extra penny outside what insurance covered.

The whole process was insane and complete bullshite.

Until there is affordability in customary care like doctors visits and other small healthcare needs, insurance will always be a necessary evil.
