I’m in the market for a new car. I test drove a ‘26 Wrangler (4 door) tonight, and I haven’t had that much fun driving a vehicle since I drove my dad’s old Bronco in the 90’s (ie, I’m old as shite and have nostalgia for boxy trucks). My husband also loved test driving it. It would replace our (my) Explorer, so it’s about the right size.

Jeep owners, is this a good every day car? I plan to use whatever vehicle I get to commute to work 30-45 min, haul groceries weekly, and fishing rods to TB every few weekends.

Jeep haters, why do you dislike them?

Help me OT, you’re my only hope.

Get your ducks lined up.

I’ve never met a person who has driven a modern Jeep wrangler and I’m 44 yeas old. I drive a Tesla everyday and think Jeep wrangler owners are figs

It is still a jeep. Things will start breaking at 50k miles. Look at the new Broncos if you want that type car. Ford has the turbo down for tye mid size segment.

I owned two wranglers. My biggest hang ups are:
The duck cult

I don’t want to wave at everyone

Quality is suspect

IMO has turned into the go to vehicle for lesbians

I’m now on my first Bronco. Rides much better! Hopefully better quality…time will tell on that one. Like you I prefer a boxy SUV. Which ever you choose, I recommend the 2dr with stick shift.

No seat belts so you have to hold on on

It’s a lifestyle personality identification statement more than a means of transportation. More often than not it doesn’t reflect as a good person driving the vehicle.

That doesn’t bother me. Like the figs, I’m also on Team D. I’ll warn my husband he better stick to driving his hybrid sedan to retain his man card.

Late 60’s early 70’s Jeep Commando. I think the last Texas inspection sticker that’s on the windshield is early to mid 90’s.

2000 Wrangler, here... fuggin PITA. Always but always something. Got it used though, so maybe that's just our bad luck.

Fun wore off long ago. Now it only gets used if one of our daily drivers AND the 95 pickup is having a bad day.

I agree it is 100% a life style choice.

I don’t understand the ducks though. Definitely something going on weird there, Satanist, death cult, democrats…

For the love of God just get a truck. The fact that you said fish, get a truck.

Now if your wife drives a truck then feel free to get a jeep.

Save your money and get a 1 owner 4 runner while also buying a TJ rubicon for your fun. Best of both worlds and less money.
