Why does LSU staff not start MVB when they know damn well he gives a better chance

It just blows my mind. Every single LSU fan knows that MVB gives a better chance. If any fan had control over the roster like a video game, they would’ve replaced Nuss a while back. Yet experts (coaches) who make millions continue with what sets LSU up in a worse position. It’s so dumb. Is this non-move politics? He was supposed to be Heisman preseason, so feel obligated? Too scared to make that swap?
3 TDs on 3 drives and 16 pass attempts is MVB. Compare that to 1 or 2 TDs per 10 drives and an INT for Nuss. It’s common sense.
This same thing happened last bye week. Recency bias. Fans don’t remember just how bad he is because it’s been a while since the last game. Then tomorrow night the board will be flooded for MVB. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
This is a point to where common sense is devoid.

Maybe because they see him every day at practice and realize in their professional opinions that…
…MVB doesn’t necessarily give LSU a better chance.

I remember when people were pissed that JD5 came back in 2023 because Nuss was, and I quote, “clearly the better player. Play him!”

If I had a dollar for every time I read “they see him in practice.”
Well how about the fricking game where’s he’s scored TD on 100% of drives dumbass
It’s beyond stupid

Here ya go then. Why do we keep qbs that can't play??????
If you even look at transfers out, they mostly suckith.

The next response to my last comment will be “He did that verse TAMU 2nd string.” My response “That 2nd string made Nuss go 3 and out, 3 or 4 straight times where he couldn’t move the ball 3 yards.
It’s a tape recorder at this point.
He’s not good. Coaches need to accept that. He isn’t. You always play the player that gives you the best chance to win.

What makes you say this with such confidence?
Our whole team was playing like shite with Kelly and Sloan at the helm

How do you know the backup might have fumble issues or something else that might actually be worse than nuss

you're probably right, and even more reason to despise Kelly for the situation we're in and realize that we are FUBAR

They make good backups.
Like MVB!

And how many drives would that be?
More importantly, how many drives against starting defenders would that be?

The exact same thing happened last time to this fan base. An off week, we haven’t seen Nuss play in 2 weeks. Short term memory doesn’t allow you to see how bad he is. Then like clockwork, Saturday and Sunday this forum will be flooded with how bad he is.
You gotta be able to remember past 2 weeks.

I am absolutely shocked how dumb this fan base is. 2 upvotes and 16 downvotes, meaning 16 people think Nuss is the better QB and only 2 agree with me. This is why LA is the 49th ranked education state.
I know I’m right.

What happens if he goes out there and throws three picks in the first half and his confidence is blown for the rest of the season?
I’m not saying it will, but let’s not throw the guy in to save an already doomed season.
Let’s work him in each game to build confidence so he can be the starter we need next season

I guess, but A&M was still bringing pressure and MVB was able to escape the rush and make plays happen. Nuss can't. At least he hasn't been able to effectively. Maybe he will off a BYE.
However, if the o line continues to fail then at least give a guy who can scramble around and still make plays a series or two.
LSU under Nuss has not scored 25 points on a power team. Doesn't mean Nuss fans have to get defensive about it. It's ridiculous. They all point to the offensive line. Okay, but if you can't fix the offensive line then at least try a quarterback the defense has to think about? Ole Miss was dropping 8 back against Nuss, because they could. That's difficult when you can't make them respect the idea of running.

Absolutely. 3 TDs on 3 drives and 16 passing attempts is elite. Compare that to 2 TDs per 10 drives for Nuss in each game. You gotta be dumber than hell to want Nuss.

3 touchdowns on 3 drives, not 2.
Compare that to 1 or 2 TDs per 10 drives for Nuss.
You gotta be dumber than a box of rocks to think Nuss gives us the best shot.
