We can’t have a movie soundtrack thread without mentioning the goat:
Hans Zimmer
And many more to list. He’s even had banger soundtracks from video games.

I didn't buy the soundtrack, but I recall watching the FireFly Lane series years ago and enjoying the entire soundtrack. A really good example was when the two young best friends were dancing with the druggie mom to the song "The Air That I Breathe"by the Hollies. Perfect song for that part of the movie. Makes you want to listen to that particular song again after that episode.

When we were kids, and saw Star Wars, my mom packed us all in the car and went looking for John Williams score. We played those records endlessly. I still remember the double album art and the poster it came with.

Damn. I had a lot of those.
I remember buying the Forrest Gump and both Dazed and Confused soundtracks because I loved the diversity of the music.

not a single movie, but a collection of Danny Elfman scored films
and my favorite movie has a two disc full score of the music by Miklos Rozsa
and another compilation of movie themes by Ennio Morricone
