A tale of two emotions..UPDATE…

The happy emotion is that I’ve been sober for 4 years today
The unhappy emotion is that my ungrateful daughter did not pay the October rent and I have to be out by Saturday or they put all my stuff to the road.
I should be celebrating a great day for me, but instead my head is splitting open with an awful pressured migraine about having to leave. I’m trying to sell stuff to hopefully get enough to not get thrown out….
Vent over…… sometimes life just sucks.
I’ve been blessed to say that all is taken care of and I am now safe.. thanks to all for the well wishes on my sobriety. And all your kind words and thoughtfulness about my current situation. This site is one of my favorite places to be. And to all my TD friends. I
love you guys and gals..

Man, congrats on your sobriety! That is amazing. Sorry for you other circumstances, but this too shall pass. If you can handle sobriety, you can handle this to.

I wish you well on the rest- sounds like a tough spot to be in.
You obviously don't have to answer, but my curiosity is peaked on how or why your daughter was paying your rent.
In another thread a few days ago you mentioned a pup... you have a doggy?

How much is your monthly rent?
I ask because I'm wondering if you would you be willing to accept an interest free loan for your rent from a fellow long-time Tigerdroppings alum? Maybe that would take some pressure off of you for a few weeks.

After Mrs. PJ passed I lost her income and the daughter agreed to live here and pay the rent while I took care of everything else. But she flew away and I got so used to her doing it that I didn’t know she didn’t until landlord told me I had to leave. Unexpected stress city.

Damn dude. Congrats on the sobriety. Some of my worst days were after i got sober 3 and a half years ago.

It was tough the first 3 months but I survived. I stopped cold turkey after over 30 years of heavy drinking. Congrats to you as well.
