For you road warriors, rank the best club areas around the country airports and then let us know the reward cards/or pay you used to get the membership?

Tend to believe best overall are delta Sky Clubs. United clubs are so hit or mess. Hardly ever use AA Admiral’s Lounge anymore but those aren’t bad.

Centurion lounges are great if flying through an airport with one and it’s convenient. Priority pass lounges also very hot or miss. Chase lounges have always been at capacity.

International carriers are great. Best lounges I’ve ever been to are Emirates in JFK, Venice priority pass, and San Fran Centurion.

Any lounge is better than sitting at a gate or paying $17 for a beer at some Delaware South run “restaurant.”

Visiting the Delta Sky Club in Atlanta for the first time on my own after upgrading to the Delta Amex Reserve.

With the amount of trashy people flying these days, I have started to believe that clubs are a must.

I use Amex platinum

Gets you priority pass, centurion lounges, and 10 delta sky lounge visits per year

Delta sky club and Amex centurion lounge are best lounges

The Centurion lounge in the international terminal at Atlanta is a good one.

I think this is going to wildly vary on where you usually travel through, and on what kind of ticket. I've never had a problem in IAH in United business class clubs, when I could enter. The regular clubs were fine, but not mind blowing, given that most of the last 10 years I've primarily been in overseas clubs. Once you've been to IST, everything else is meh.

Priority pass through Chase out of IAH is nearly worthless. The Amex (I haven't been to Centurion in IAH) provides access to the same two lounges Priority Pass does, and they're always full.

I fly Delta exclusively and the Sky Clubs ease the travel chaos quite a bit; although, they can be busy at times. As a back up, we have Priority Pass via Chase Sapphire Reserve and it works in a pinch as well. I haven't been to the new Sapphire Reserve Lounges just yet. The only cities on my rotation would be LA and Las Vegas.

They're nice in theory, but if I'm connecting anywhere domestically out of IAH, I've clearly F'd up.

One of my main reasons for letting that card go was that almost every lounge had a que. I basically used it when flying out of MSY

Depends on who you fly the most. Each airline has a bank/credit card that they partner with and a premium card that grants you lounge access.

American (Citi)
Delta (American Express)
United (Chase)

I primarily fly Delta but opted to get the American Express Platinum Card instead of a Delta co-branded card. That gives me access to Sky Clubs when flying Delta along with Priority Pass and American Express Centurion Lounge access when flying other carriers.

Delta has put caps on the number of lounge visits per year unless you spend $75,000 on your card so keep that in mind.

ETA: It looks like you're in New Orleans so I wouldn't go the American route as they don't have a club in the airport. Delta, United, and Priority Pass (which you can get memberships through the Chase, AmEx, and other premium bank cards) are your only option.

Thanks all.
I’ve only used the United Club and they are good, but I have nothing to compare them to.
I’ve only done it with one time passes I get from Chase and more often than not these clubs are full.
Really helped the other day though when I was at IAH four hours before my flight. One club was full but I went over to the one in C and timed it right and got in after the morning rush finished.

I found many of the clubs just average UNTIL I went to a Delta One club. There is only a few at this point but they are fantastic. Not crowded, custom food, showers, messages. A whole new level .

Nope lol.

I met some members of the Auburn Athletic department in Atlanta a few months back when they were heading to play OU.
