Virginia is dominated by NOVA and they branded this shutdown as the GOPs fault when it’s 100% on them.

Let’s face it. That woman LG was not a strong candidate. That didn’t help, not that a stronger candidate would have won. It’s all about turnout. The Dems were angry and highly motivated. A lot of people who voted Trump in 24 stayed home.

Virginia's GOP super majority was a response to the governmental overreach and tyranny of the democrats under Biden during covid. Once covid was over it is reasonable to assume that blue states would revert to their typical blue state ways.

Yeah, it's 100% on them, but it doesn't help when Trump posts a meme of Russell Vought as the Grim Reaper.

People hate sore losers but they hate sore winners even more.

Because he abandoned MAGA and Virginia ran an immigrant as the GOP candidate.

Earle-Sears and Trump's relationship turned tepid in 2022 after the lieutenant governor suggested it was time for the Republican Party to "move on" past him and declined to support his third White House bid.

Lost a super majority? Where do you people get this stuff.

Fyi the state senate is still 21/19. They’ll whip the votes generally but I’m hoping that will keep anything extreme from passing.

VA lives and dies by the federal government employment directly or indirectly. More bureaucracy is their oxygen. My party, the republican party, is pissing in their punchbowl. Don't think it's anything else.

Trump should move those agencies and departments elsewhere. DC is too full of demprogs.

The Lt Governor who won with Youngkin last time?

Why wouldn't she be the next in line given their prior success?

Sears wasn’t a strong candidate and Republicans didn’t run a strong ground game. Dems on the other hand are highly motivated and hate Republicans and Trump. Last night was to be expected given these conditions.

Because she alienated most Republican voters by abandoning Trump in the last election cycle.
