Makes sense when you have players like #22 on your team. She looks 5'2 200lb with zero athleticism.

That hefty girl hitting the three reminded me of when Dusty Rhodes hit from downtown in a charity game featuring NWA/WCW stars...

I went on the Bethesda Women's page to see her height and the school doesn't even bother to list anything concerning the players.

And the Bethesda girls might be on scholarship too. Imagine that

quote:

Yes, Bethesda University of California women's basketball players can receive athletic scholarships, as the university is affiliated with the NCCAA Division I (National Christian College Athletic Association), which allows for athletic scholarships. However, it is important to note that the number and type of scholarships vary and are not guaranteed for every player, as some may receive partial aid, and it is best to contact the university's athletic department for more information.

Imagine getting your whole college paid for because you happen to be

1. Female
2. Have legs and arms
3. Have the stamina to run up and down the court

that's it.

They might be getting it paid for but are the credits transferable?

And the St Augustine High boys would torch Cal St Northridge. Hell, the JV team would. Just further evidence that womens basketball is a joke. I have no issue with women's sports in general. Women's tennis is actually more interesting than men's at times. But with basketball, the chasm between the men's and women's is massive and its makes me irrationally annoyed that the two entirely games are now being treated with the same reverence by the national media/ESPN.
