And while not a noteworthy election, the Lt. Gov-elect is a Muslim woman from India.

It's something to keep an eye on.

Polling for the midterms aren’t showing a bloodbath as of now.

Virginia is a democratic state infested by DC commuters and Blue state transplants.

It was a matter of time.

I am guessing the shift is even more pronounced when comparing tonight to 2021 when Youngkin won

It’s an off year election in two blue states, with two relatively moderate Democratic female candidates. Settle down. It has no independent bearing on any future election.

Democrats will perform better next year in the House elections than they did in 2024 percentage wise, because it’s a midterm election. The degree to which that impacts who controls Congress is up to the GOP in the next ten months and on the redistricting madness. Either way, it will have nothing to do with Democrats winning gubernatorial elections in blue states.

The people in VA were willing to vote for a spoon if it meant voting against MAGA.

That is how bad the MAGA brand is right now.

NJ voters were unhappy with economy and costs of living.

So they voted for the same party in power the previous 8 years, and the party that doesn’t understand basic economics and created massive inflation and high costs just 3 years ago.

People in NJ are stupid.

In what world is she picked for Lt Gov if she is a while male?

She won one state legislature race in 2001, and never won anything again before being picked for Lt Gov.

I do agree with you that she was not a great campaigner.

You make a good point. I wasn't aware of her early electoral history.

What’s this a graph of ? That’s not nearly all VA counties. VA has 95 counties and the thread title reads like every VA county shifted toward blue.

Or am I misunderstanding something?

Seriously… Senate is minimum a R +1 pickup. Depending on what the US Supreme Court decides GOP is looking like 220 seat minimum without a favorable opinion out of the courts .

Look at the data my friend not from a heavy D state that registered voters out numbers R votes by anywhere from 800k to 1 million

They are cheating. It's appalling you believe the media after what Trump posted about having all data on the 2020 election just a few days ago.
