There’s no realistic shot at winning the Governorship in 2 blue states that Trump lost a year ago.
It’d be like Florida and Texas voting in an off year with a Democrat President. They’re not going to have much of a chance.

Virginia is in a recession because of massive cuts to the federal government. That state will be impossible for Republicans to win for some time to come.

Virginia has voted against the incumbent president in every gubernatorial election but 2013 (with a third party libertarian) in every cycle for something like 50 years.
