Anyone dealt with permits being approved through the City of St. George?

Signed a contract to build a new home in a new development in SG.
Been waiting for a month (maybe more) for them to approve the permit.
Builders say they don’t have their ducks in row yet as far as getting things done. Seems like that would’ve been something they had figured out before creating a new city.
Anyone else dealt with this in any way?

I bought a home in Preserve at Harveston mid-build instead of building myself, in part exactly for this reason…avoid the bullshite headaches.

I’m calling the city tomorrow because the builder never knows. Figured I could possibly get more info than they are getting.

I'm probably wrong but I could have sworn that St. George and Baton Rouge came to an agreement that permits would continue to be handled by BR for SG (for a fee) for a couple of years to give SG time to get its processes and employee training worked out.

311 is with St George now except for parish wide services which is still regular 311. Link is in the website.

You're right. It was the 311 service that the two cities agreed to share for a while not permitting.
