The British ruled that Matt Petgrave (below) did nothing wrong when he kicked his skate in the air and slashed the throat of another player wide open during a game.

In the 2022–23 season, he was the most penalized player in the EIHL.

But, the authorities did send their ‘thoughts’ to the family of the player killed by Petgrave so everything should be fine now.

quote:

Following a thorough police investigation and a comprehensive review of all the evidence by the CPS, we have concluded that there is not a realistic prospect of conviction for any criminal offense and so there will not be a prosecution. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Adam Johnson.”

Shocker. Brits know that’s a normal hockey move.

If the races were reversed he would be in prison for life.

I knew the perpetrator was going to be the one black that plays hockey.

You’re an idiot. That was not a hockey move. Have been watching hockey for 20 plus years and that was deliberate. No hockey player lifts their leg up that high for shits and gigs.

I always thought “trying to kill your opponent” was the point of hockey.

Why would you charge the first man to actually win hockey?

Swinging your leg around the way he did isn't a normal hockey move.

40 years here and you are correct. But this is Britain, the same country that arrested someone who was reading a bible and got stabbed by one of their immigrant allies. The immigrant was "provoked" so the stabbing was OK. The bible reader went to jail instead.

You’re conflating two stories but I agree Britain has fallen

They don't like to charge people of color in England. No matter the crime, it's those middle aged White men who are the problem. Also, calling the piece of shite, who killed that player, a killer, will get you jail time.

Mean speak is jail-able in the UK.

dude is a POS

if he’s still in the league i hope every player in the league gives him the cold shoulder

i don’t think he meant to kill him, but that was 100% on purpose.

He received a standing ovation when he returned to the ice after the death.
