Minneapolis - throw in the Wild for them and it gets worse
Phoenix
Cleveland
DC is on its way as the Redskins' titles get further away

I don’t think Arizona has anything like the Cowboys or Vikings fanbase for any of their sports. An overall shite sports town like Atlanta is saved by the Braves. Theres no buzz. It’s not a sports town. If not for Randy Johnson and a 3 year old expansion team they would have no titles

I don't think the OP is asking which metro/city has the best teams.

I think he's asking which city is the worst, that happens to have teams in all 3 leagues.

I believe I'd go with Minneapolis.

Well if so, answer still applies - Cleveland

I havent been to Minneapolis in about 6 years. I traveled there a lot for work and always stayed downtown. It was a cool city that id have lived in but the problems were becoming apparent back then. I assume its considerably worse now.

Cavs and Nats have recent titles for Cleveland and DC. DC also has the Caps.

For Phoenix the DBacks title is getting further away but it's still at least since the turn of this millennium.

Minny is the only one that doesn't have a title since 2000. Hell, none of the 4 teams in that city has even appeared in a super bowl or finals series since 2000. Even the Cardinals made a SB and the Suns made a finals for Phoenix

You gotta go back to the 1991 Twins WS title since the last time a Minnesota major sports team appeared in a championship. Gotta be honest I didn't even realize that until now. Wow.

I can actually say the wharf down on the lakefront in Cleveland was surprisingly a lot of fun

How do you figure? Mavs won a Championship in 2011 and the Rangebaws won in 2023.

Unless you're thinking, worst metro without regard to the success of said teams. Los Angeles.

OP suggested Phoenix, which is lovely. So I don’t know how you got to that assumption.

Anyway, if New Orleans had a baseball team, that’s the answer. I go Cleveland

Throw in the fact that the twins, wolves, and vikings have all had some really good teams since then, and well, we’ve been conditioned to know that the floor will fall out eventually for whichever one of those teams is doing well.

You live in the wealthy lake parts of MPLS or the burbs of St. Paul or MPLS.

Is the question about worst performing sports teams or the worst metro area to live in? It's basically a wash since all metro areas have nice suburban and wealthy neighborhoods in the main city.

Sports wise it's difficult to find a metro area with all three teams doing bad at the same time. I count bad as losing records among all three and no playoff appearances in recent times.

Does Milwaukee count? They used to have games in County Stadium for Packers

I get Green Bay is about hour and half away.

I e never had a “great time” in Milwaukee but I’ve only been there when it’s cold/snowy
