Myron Metcalf on ESPN radio this morning
asked Herm Edwards this morning:
Let me ask you quickly before we get to the NFL. A question, you did college. What would you think about a job where the governor will fire you on stage?
Would you want that job?
No, but I know this. I know who they should hire.
Who's that?
Nick Saban.
Who's that?
Nick Saban. Interesting.
Hire Nick Saban.
Would he do it?
He probably would if they really, you know, really kind of came to him and they met his demands, what he would want. And obviously, all those people that have a say right now, they have to step back, let me run it. I'll take it.”

You know that's what Mal Moore did when he got Saban to leave the NFL for Alabama.

If we don’t do this we are stupid.

What kind of false premise is this?

JFC. Landry isn’t going to have any power moving forward. But because of his stupid antics this is going to be the narrative

Well, Landry basically did it to Woody

Woody wasnt the football coach. He was an administrator for LSU, which the Governor has a lot of power over.

This stupid because the governor can’t fire the head coach

Saban is likely bored to death right now. He will go insane not coaching again.

Yall remember my post yesterday about Saban being open but wanting conditions like no meddling my the gov and boosters? Well well well

Landry's comments will have 0 effect of landing a quality coach. LSU is still the best open job. Its the only open job where you can throw a dart on a map 20mins in any direction of Tiger Stadium and go talk to 4 and 5 star high school kids.
Jeff Landry doesn't change that.

People think the governor being involved is a bad thing. WHY?
What if it is a good thing?
What if it is seen as a commitment to win at the highest level the State can offer? What if the recruits go to the Governor's Mansion and get feted by the Governor and thanked by the chief executive for representing the State with championship demeanor?
I'd have the guy at my practices giving pep rallies if he cares that much.
It's not necessarily a negative unless you don't know how to make lemonade.

Dude is rivaling Cantrelle for ignorant - tone deaf - DGAF stupid comments and actions....he really is. He has compromised his base constituency by messing in LSU's business and looking like a total clown doing it. They may have missed the other stupid things he's said and done, which are plenty, but he's shined the light bright now.
He cut his own dick off and he still doesn't know it because as he's proven ever since he has taken office he has no clue how dumb what he says and does is....he thinks folks are all with him. It's pathetic. I honestly feel sorry for the folks still hanging in there with him.

No he didn't. Woody was already out before Landry went full retard in front of the mic.

It's like people don't even remember that Saban coached at LSU before.
Emmert and Skip gave Saban full control. About the only thing Skip did with the football program was screw up tailgating.

SABAN has a chance to get a mega pay day and he won’t even have to try.
He will rip off LSU for 50 mil and get fired after his 2nd season all the while laughing his dyck off to the bank.
