I have no desire for Nick Saban to be the next coach at LSU.

Yeah he’s just what we need. An 80 year old that left precisely at the time he no longer had a massive advantage over the rest of the country

Maybe. I just find it hard to believe that Saban really wants to be a HC in college football and deal with everything that comes along with it. If he did, he'd still be coaching at Alabama. And we wouldn't have near the talent advantage that he had when he was at Bama.

I don't disagree with you. Saban left because of what CFB is nowadays. Why would we think he's flipped a switch and wants to deal with it now? Let's just move on

Same, he’d only be around 3-4 years max.

I agree. I don’t think he returns. The only thing is if he is a workaholic and is bored to death not coaching. Things like this do happen a lot especially with coaches, but I don’t think he returns though

I understand what you are saying, it’s nothing to do with Nick but I don’t want a 4-5 year guy I want the guy that will be here for 14 or 15 years

You sound like a trump voter. I bet you never got vaccinated and took hydroxychloroquine instead.

Who wouldn’t want a proven dynasty builder as our head coach? All we need him for is a few years. That’s all it took before and the only thing that stopped us from keeping the dynasty going was Nick Saban himself coming back to college football.

Because college football isn't what it use to be. Which is why Saban is no longer coaching.

You’ll get downvoted but you’re 100% correct. BK is a super poor mans Saban. Saban left because he couldn’t run his style of program and be successful in this day of college football. Coaches like BK and Saban are not winning right now. They have been passed up and it’s why he left. Let’s move on and get someone that knows how to win in this age.

I agree with you. It's shortsighted and chasing the past and what could have been. He retired for a reason that he clearly stated. I'd welcome him but hes not the guy I'd go with. We'd just be searching again in 3-4 years.

If Saban would come to LSU, I'd be happy for however long he agrees to coach. Even if it's two years. He'd have free reign.

Usually it doesn't turn out well however I don't recall someone getting hired at a school after winning several national championships.

The man needs two hands to show off all his rings.

I get what you're saying to a point but you also should consider that most "hires" (I put that in quotes because all this is speculation) but I don't think there's been a hire in recent memory that had anything close to Saban's resume'.
