Scamming in Gonzales: People Beware!

Didn't get a picture, but there is a black man who has been scamming folks in the Gonzales area for at least a year, now.
My first encounter with this little thug was about a year ago at Jack-In-the-Box. As I waited for my order at the counter he approached me and showed me a beat-up cell phone with a crack across it and told me his family was down the road in the car that ran out of gas and he needed money. I gave him $5 and he was gone.
Never gave it another thought until a few days ago when I was at Lowe's and saw this little bastard in the parking lot begging customers for money. As I got to my truck he came to me and went through the same story he had told me a year ago. Only this time, I was ready. I told him he's a lying little a-hole and if he wanted me to, I would drive him to his family down the road, beings they've been there for over a year now. He quickly ran away and just a few minutes afterward, I saw him harassing a woman at her driver's side window. The woman was about to give him money when I pulled up near him and told him to leave that lady alone. I explained to the lady that he was scamming folks and she quickly pulled off. He told me I need to leave him alone and went away again.
If any of you see this little fellow, about 5ft. 8in. tall, dark black with a little goatee and holding a broken up cell phone...be ready to banish him.

Sounds like you are the problem here. You reinforced the behavior

Heads up, that email you got about your Apple ID being locked is fake
Also your bank won’t call or text asking for your personal info
Almost forgot: Did you know gullible isn’t in the dictionary?

I got scammed big time in New Orleans last night. Some dude came up to me and bet me $20 that he knows where I got my shoes. Considering since I got them from a mom & pop shop from my hometown I knew he wouldn’t know it and took him up on his $20 bet.
Then he said “on your feet on Bourbon street”. And since he guessed both places right, I had to give him $40. That bastard.

I fricking hate beggars. So much so I keep a stash of $5 bills in my console so I can quickly grab one and get my "God bless" and go about my day

I don't think begging counts as a scam. It is just begging. If he tried to sell you a fake iPhone that would be a scam.
